Unless you have been hiding under a rock for the past few years, you have heard the word apps. Apps are everywhere and no matter where your thoughts take you, there is probably an app for whatever you are thinking about! Apps are self-contained programs that are designed to be used within the browser. Apps install in a few seconds and are always available for you to use. Apps are instantly updated so you can be assured that you are always up-to-date with the latest version. I see apps as having limitless potential in the educational forum. They are a convenient way to accomplish mastering concepts, learn arithmetic operations, identify geographical locations or historic figures, and even increase your fitness level in physical education. iPads and the apps they contain have automated the traditional classroom, allowed students to proceed at their own rate, and diversified the learning process among all students. The use of apps is in its infancy and will continue to grow, especially in American classrooms. The apps that are intriguing to me are Coach's Eye, Team Shake, Easy Assessment, and Teacher's Assistant. These apps are physical education specific and can be a great asset to teachers.
